What Is Football Bodyball?

Association football, also called simply football, is an irregular team game played between two sides of eleven players each. It is the most popular sport in the world, with more than 250 million people playing it in more than 200 different countries and dependencies. The game was adapted from English soccer in the nineteenth century, and its rules have remained almost unchanged even though the sport has developed considerably since then.

The game is played at different arenas: indoor and outdoor arenas are common in developed nations; they differ only in terms of size and number of pitches. Each team has one goal, which it tries to achieve through scoring more goals than the other teams. Goals are scored when a ball comes into the field from the outside (fairly) or from the inside ( unfairly). If the ball doesn’t meet with any of the two goals, a penalty kick is awarded.

Unlike basketball and baseball, soccer can be played in different weather conditions. Because of this, outdoor matches are regularly played in rain, sleet, and snow, while indoor games can be played all year around. A further distinction is made between soccer and rugby; soccer is considered to be a softer game than rugby, while rugby is thought of as a harder game than soccer. Another difference is the manner in which the ball is passed. With football the ball is passed between players using a ball with a stick on one end, while in rugby the ball is rubbed over the head with a part of the hand, so that the contact with the ball is direct.

The usual equipment used in a game of FOOTBAL includes two opposite yellow/red stripes, and one referee who uses a ball provided by the team. Each player is usually assigned one group of players, called the “squad.” Different from baseball and softball where there are only two players per team, in a game of FOOTBAL a team of players can have three or four people on each team, depending upon the number of pitches available. The players on each team are allowed to switch places with another if there is an extra player.

Due to the nature of the sport and the physical nature of players, soccer and rugby are played on different surfaces than are football and baseball. Soccer is usually played on a natural grass field, while rugby is mostly played on an oval field. In general, FOOTBAL is a harder sport than its cousin baseball and basketball, which limits the amount of players per team and makes it more physically demanding than other sports.

FOOTBAL is not yet recognized by the NCAA, but it is widely played in countries such as South Africa, India, and Nepal. Countries that recognize FOOTBAL include Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, the United States, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, and the Philippines. It is believed that in the future countries that will play regular soccer may also include ITF, but this remains to be seen.
